Advanced Placement

The Advanced Placement (AP) program is a cooperative educational endeavour between high schools and universities. AP courses allow high school students to experience university-level academic learning in addition to Alberta Education curriculum.   Students who complete an AP course scoring four to five on a five-point scale are able to receive university advanced placement (skip that corresponding course) and are often eligible to receive credit for that corresponding university course from any Canadian university and many American and international colleges and universities.   Students who wish to enrol in AP courses can choose from one subject to several based on their interests and prerequisite grades.
